CheckMate Professional App
Many professionals, such as Real Estate Agents, Appraisers, CPAs, business men and women, often work and travel alone into the evenings or with people they just met or hardly know. They do this in hotels, client’s homes or in offices where, at times, no one is around. This environment is unsettling at best and dangerous at worst. CheckMate Professional was specifically designed to address these potentially hazardous situations. With the push of a button, the personal security app provides the safety and security that professionals need, day and night.
The CheckMate Professional App
Every professional has a smartphone these days and it is never out of reach. This is why CheckMate Professional comes in the form of an app. Simply pressing and releasing the Emergency button sends a distress signal to our Emergency Monitoring Centre, where trained operators are available 24/7/365.
Discreet and Effective
CheckMate Professional lets the person discreetly send for help at anytime with just the touch of a button. This may be called for in situations where the individual is becoming very uncomfortable or fear for their safety; or in cases where the person does not feel in control of a situation.
Be prepared. Where safety is a concern, for example, when walking to the car at night or being nervous about a suspicious person nearby, simply pressing and holding the Emergency button prepares your app for an emergency. If something were to happen, releasing the Emergency button immediately generates a distress signal.
CheckMate Professional gives you the option to set up regular check-in calls to ensure all is well. If you know you will be working late into the evening at a house showing or in the office you can set up CheckMate Professional to ring/vibrate your phone every 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes. If you do not acknowledge your phone at each Safety Check, a distress signal is generated. You will have 30 seconds to cancel the Missed Safety Check alarm before it is transmitted to ProTELEC’s Emergency Monitoring Centre.
CheckMate Professional also offers a Man Down monitoring service. The Man Down feature monitors the phone’s orientation. If it is detected that the phone is horizontal, a Man Down alarm will be generated.
- Continuous Monitoring of Inclination: Changes in inclination of the phone are continously monitored relative to the horizon.
- Man Down State: A Man Down state is triggered if the angle of the phone is less than the pre-selected angle and stays below this threshold for at least 30 seconds.
- Emergency Alarm: For the next 30 seconds, the user can cancel the Man Down state by entering the password. If this password is not successfully entered within 30 seconds from this state being initiated, a Man Down alarm is sent through to ProTELEC’s Emergency Monitoring Centre.
The pre-selected angle options;
Low – 10 degrees, Medium – 30 degrees and High – 45 degrees.
Control of the Man Down feature is done through the CheckMate Professional app on the smartphone and can be turned on and off easily, so that it is always there to be used when needed.
Critical Support Behind the Scene
Emergency Response – Being able to generate an alarm is only as good as the response to the alarm. CheckMate Professional goes well beyond being just a smartphone app that notifies family and friends. It connects directly to ProTELEC’s Emergency Monitoring Centre, manned by a highly-trained team of dedicated professionals that respond to any CheckMate alarm 24/7/365. The Emergency Monitoring Centre is approved and annually inspected by the Underwriters Laboratory of Canada, and is ‘5 Diamond’-certified, ensuring that strict industry standard operating procedures are followed. ProTELEC has been protecting life and property since 1968.
Operators are specifically trained to respond to every emergency situation through the following automatic procedures:
- Immediately calling the individual to assess the emergency or confirm it is not a false alarm. No answer is treated as an emergency.
- Notifying the individual’s alert contacts on their alert contact list and providing the exact location of the incident through our GPS tracking system. The GPS location is continuously updated until the alarm is cancelled.
Locating the person in distress – It is critical to send help as quick as possible. It is equally as critical to be able to locate the person in distress as well. Our technology is able to provide to the responding party with a current picture of the individual, the height, weight and even the make of the person’s car and license plate number.
Included with the CheckMate Professional app is a Mass Notification feature that allows governing organizations (such as associations or institutions) to send messages out in case of an emergency. For instance, if an emergency occurs that may affect the professional, the person will be immediately notified via their phone with continuous updates on the status and what they should do.
