We are so confident in all our personal safety products that we offer 15-day free trails, and MedAlert is no exception. With all CheckMate products you are getting an industry-leading personal safety solution for your family, giving them direct access to help in the event of an emergency.
Accidents and emergencies can happen without warning, and our MedAlert system allows your loved one to be prepared.
What is MedAlert?
CheckMate’s medical alert service gives individuals the ability to send immediate distress signals at any time they encounter an emergency. MedAlert is a device that is worn around the neck (pendant) or wrist (watch) and uses push-button technology to send a distress signal should your loved one fall down, become incapacitated or suddenly feel ill.
If something should happen to your family member and they cannot get to a phone, MedAlert lets them send for help at the touch of a button. Since the device can be worn on their person, help is available even when they leave the house. The MedAlert console also has a “HELP” button on it, allowing a distress signal to be sent from there as well.
Reminders for medication
Our system can also be programmed to remind your loved one to take their medication. MedAlert offers medication reminders so you don’t have to call your elderly parent many times throughout the day to remind them to take their pills. The reminders can be set to go off at any time and at any frequency your senior family member needs to ensure they take their prescribed medication.
Who benefits from MedAlert?
If you have an elderly parent who lives alone, MedAlert is the perfect device for them. Just because your loved one is getting older, doesn’t mean they have to give up their autonomy. Active seniors who wish to remain in their homes are at risk for slip and fall accidents, sudden illnesses and other medical emergencies.
No matter how healthy your elderly parent is, they should have a personal safety device in their home to ensure they are protected from the unforeseen.
No training required
Because of the push-button technology used for the MedAlert system, there is no training required. Your loved one simply pushes a “HELP” button on the MedAlert console, pendant or watch and aid is on the way. When a distress signal is received at our Emergency Monitoring Centre, one of our trained operators dispatches the proper medical authorities to your loved one ensuring they receive help swiftly.
